Coronoavirus

To our valued Velocity Customers,

As your broadband provider, our commitment to you during the COVID-19 health crisis remains at the highest level. Our staff and the City of Hudson are fully committed, as always, to delivering exceptional service to our customers and the greater Hudson Community.

The City staff are keeping you and our community in our thoughts as we together navigate our way through the current health crisis. Our hope is that all of you, your families, and staff remain healthy, and this will pass with minimum effect on our Hudson Community.

Please see the below update from the City of Hudson on how to ensure you always have the latest information about the coronavirus.

Coronavirus Update from the City of Hudson 3/12/20

Communication with our residents and businesses during this period is crucial. If a health emergency was to take place in Hudson, we would use all the necessary tools and methods available to inform our community and share next steps.

Be sure to register today for an emergency alert CodeRED account on our website for phone notifications. Our Twitter account – www.twitter.com/cityofhudsonoh - will be used as a primary source for emergency information to update the community if there are changes in City services, events are cancelled, or City buildings are closed. Information posted to our Twitter account will also appear on Facebook and on our website Home Page at www.hudson.oh.us.

The City of Hudson is working directly with Summit County Public Health, the State of Ohio, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are continuously monitoring the information provided by these organizations. We also are working through the City’s emergency operations plan to make sure that our City services will continue with limited interruption. Hudson Police, Fire, and EMS are trained and equipped to respond in the event of this type of emergency.

The best steps to manage and contain an infectious-disease outbreak are recommendations by the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health. Visit our website for links to information and resources.

The main symptoms of this disease are high fever, cough, and shortness of breath. If you have these symptoms, especially acute respiratory illness, contact your medical provider for further advice. If you need emergency medical assistance, call 911.

Please feel free to share this information with others, and contact us if you ever need anything.
