MOD: matter of design has been a staple of First Street in Hudson’s First and Main District since 2014, passing through several owners since it opened. Just one year ago Adam and Brandon Alexander became the proud co-owners of MOD - a full-service design studio with a base of Northeast Ohio clients, as well as clients located all over the US via virtual design services.

MOD specializes in interior design services that are tailored to whatever the client needs, with no project minimums. Full service, floor to ceiling renovations to finishing touches and small refreshes; the MOD team is here to listen, bring each client’s vision to life, and provide a welcoming space for collaboration in the studio.

Adam has an exciting background in Architecture and Adult Learning Development. He has been a Designer and Studio Director with Mod since 2020. He took the lead on running the business when the prior owners moved out of state. Alongside his husband Brandon, they took the leap to small business ownership! Brandon’s deep expertise in Marketing, Finance, and Higher Education Administration, paired with his outstanding leadership, management, and community relations skills—makes him a perfect partner. Together they are an engaged and dynamic team. “We love MOD and we understand the responsibility of transforming our clients’ homes.”

For Adam, strong relationships with local vendors, merchants, and community members are the foundation of their success. Adam says,” We root for each other’s success by supporting fellow Hudson merchants and services. Velocity Broadband is locally owned and operated. The design team at MOD relies on advanced software daily, that depends heavily on reliable technical support and fast fiber internet, to create design deliverables efficiently.
